The Palacio Avenida hotel is a 20th century building built in 1942 and used to be one of the most popular movie theatres for more than 50 years. After 2 years of careful renovations, the Palacio Avenida hotel opened its doors in 2009. The hotel is located on the Plaza de España, in the heart of the shopping area and of the financial district of Palma de Mallorca, Next to the major banks of the country, it is also situed at a few feet from the train station (estación inter-modal) from which you can easily get to the UIB University campus or take the famous "rayo rojo" train to visit Sóller or its port, Make sure not to miss the city sightseeing bus which leaves in front of the hotel.
