Hotel Butrinti

The first Butrinti Hotel was built at the beginning of the 70s. In that period it was one of the most prestigious hotels in Albania, positionin right after Hotel Tirana. Butrinti, also known as Turizmi, began operating as a high standard hotel welcoming different foreign tourists which visited our country during the communism period. Butrinti Hotel was privatized and renovated in June 2002. It represented the first hotel structure of its kind, with capacities, standards and luxury never seen before in Saranda or in the southern Albania up to that moment. Butrinti Hotel was considered a muse for people who gave priority to the tourism businesses being the first to launch a new area of tourism for the city of Saranda. The hotel has always had a perfect collaboration with all state organisms according to the progress of different national and international activities. In April 2006 Mak-Albania Al Kharafi&Sons, an investment kuwaitian company which invests in different spheres of the economy all around the world, owned this hotel.
